    Version 2.27 was updated the server with a new installer – now you can easily install a portable version as well. Just point the installer to your flash drive and select ‘Portable version’. Start menu shortcuts will not be installed and no changes to registry will be made. This also means no drag-and-drop integration.

      Absolutely amazing, thanks so much for this.  I’ve been a fan of these dual-purpose installers since I saw Foobar2000 doing it.

      I have problems on XP. When canceling an operation it gets stuck and won’t close. For details, I’m actually moving from one drive to another, with verify after.

      Hello! I like this prospect, but the installer still is requiring administrative access. Any way around that for the portable version, or am I SOL?

      I have he same problem as “asdf” below, if i cancel with the verify checked, TeraCopy won’t close and does nothing. If i try to copy from my hdd to the network it is exetremely slow:
      TeraCopy: estimate of 3d to complete.
      Windows: estimate of 8h to complete.

      v2.27 tries to delete the remaining source files in the list that didn’t
      get moved after the cancel button is pressed… Even though it doesn’t
      delete those remaining source files, it shouldn’t be necessary. Also,
      for example, when I skip the 1st file in the list and move it to the
      bottom, the 2nd is skipped. Please modify how the cancel command works.

      Cleanup command bug in v2.27… for example, if there is 100 items in
      the list. You press the cleanup button after the 1st 10 items are moved,
      you get 90 items left. The next file operation should be the original
      12th(2nd in the new list) after the original 11th(1st in the new list)
      is moved, but instead it skips 10 items. The file index of the queue didn’t change even though the files moved up in the queue I think.

      There is no option that says portable when you point it – it just installs there and puts all shortcuts in the start menu.

      This is a nice app, but Code Sector support is useless.
      I got 60 Pro licenses and i’m unable to get support for very critcal issues.
      I’m not using those licenses at all, as Teracopy is unable to handle a specific kind of files that i need to copy on our company machines.
      Windows copy, Total Commander, and Exterme Copy handles those specific kind of files with no problem.
      I have issued 4 (!!!) support tickets over the last month,
      no one at Code Sector answered me.
      This is a the worse purchase i have ever made as i’m unable to use the product and the support team doesn’t answers my support tickets.

        You forgot to mention that I tried to reproduce your problem with no luck. 

        I just downloaded Avid Media Composer 6 and TeraCopy copied _SearchDB_ files with no problem. Please contact me with more details about Avid software and network setup.

          This is correct, but since then all my email were ignored.

          I’m not sure if you reproduce it correctly, The Avid project folder that contains the _SearchDB_ files has to be on a network drive, (mine is on a NAS that is Avid supplies), and the Avid project has be open and active Within the Avid Media Composer application. 
          Under  those conditions, you need to try the copy.

          As i wrote in all my emails, i dont’ need those files, if TerCopy will skips then during the copy, and will just give me a list of the skipped files at the end of the list, this is OK by me, but TeraCopy hangs while trying to access those files and this is very bad for me.

          so, if you can reproduce it and fix it – it will be great,

          If you cant reproduce it – just fix the problem that TeraCopy hangs while trying to access those files – and just skip those during the copy.
