Hi,
I use Direct Folders since this free version has been released, and I'm really happy whit it. It's by far the best software of its category I tried.
But I've got a little problem, not sure if it's a bug or not : in a save as dialog box, if I double-click on a button on the top toolbar (like "navigate back" or "up one level"), the Direct Folders menu appears. That's quite annoying since I often click quickly on these buttons to navigate through my folders.

This is an excellent utility, except for a major problem when using it in Vista. I run a limited user account rather than one with full Admin rights. I won’t compromise on that, as this is a more secure configuration. Often I’ll copy a file to or from a location that triggers the UAC, and on a limited account, the standard copy routine would ask for the Admin account’s password before it can proceed. TeraCopy doesn’t do this. In fact, it does nothing at all. The file isn’t copied, and no failure is reported. To get around this, I must resort to the built-in Windows copy. Please consider fixing this. Whatever time I’m saving in faster bulk copy operations is being offset by having to retry restricted copy operations using the built-in copy routine.

By the way, the spam filters here are way too aggressive. I can't post a message with the NoScript add-on (in Firefox) enabled at all, even with it set to completely allow all scripts with no restriction. I've tried posting this message quite a few times now.

Great piece of software! There is one feature I'd love to see added: The ability to check all md5 signatures contained in every *.md5 file found in an entire directory/subdirectory tree.

This is an excellent program, if it were not for the fact that it can't be used on administrator accounts, and it will not work on 64-bit operating systems.

I use XP x64, and I use an administrator account. I would use this program and likely buy the pro version if it was made to work on 64-bit operating systems (XP x64 included--not everybody uses vista), and administrator accounts.

Hello Jeff,
Wonderfull software ! It really saves a LOT of time :-)
Do you think it's possible to make unrelated functions in Direct Folders as an option? I'm talking about "Rollup" and "Always on top" features. I use Winroll to do that and they do not get on well...

Regards,
Marc.

@ Micke:
I noticed the developer replied but ignored my comment, this gave me the distinct impression that my feature was axxed.
I hope this isn't the case!

@ Lancelot
Speed throttling is a great idea! I mount drives on my win box using sftpdrive (so they are actually ssh connections to shells in cyberspace) and having a speed/throttle command to control the speeds of those remote transfers would be hella nice!
