I've been using TeraCopy on my WinXP PC. My friends recommended this to me.
In that version , I can manually change the buffer size and it had Original Beautiful Windows Progress Bar. But unfortunately I lost that copy. Now when I downloaded the new TeraCopy 2.20 , The Menu is more developed that I can decide what to do after file copying, And i can see pending files. But I could see the ugly gray progress bar. What happened to it??

I've used Terracopy for quite some time and recommend it to all my friends. Since recently upgrading to Win 7 64bit, I noticed that Terracopy isn't as competitive against the default copy program. The main advantage the Win 7 copy has is that it continues the copy/move job even if it encounters a duplicate or protected file. It saves the "overwrite" question to the end. For large copy jobs, that's a huge benefit.

The main drawback (necessary evil?) of Terracopy is that verifying after copying sometimes takes almost as long as the copy itself. Can an option be built in to do a quick MD5 hash comparison or something similar?

I still prefer Terracopy for large batch jobs because it shows progress and can resume broken copies. but I no longer want it as my default copy handler. I've actually found it faster to split my job in two and have Terracopy do half (the large files) and the default copy program do the other half (smaller files). This gives me about 10MB/s faster transfer rates.

Oh, and if there is only one developer, it definitely would hurt to add skins. This is a COPY program - not an MP3 player. Focus on the performance, please!

I use terecopy to move things around my pcs (Xp) and nas (netgear NVX). I normaly would like to use 'replace 'older', but its does not work correctly, sometimes it insists in copying files that have not changed, and have the same timestamp (as far as I can tell). BTW it always copies the same ones. That is if I make two copies (overwrite older) one after the other, it will copy the exact same files.

hope you can fix this. Also I would be nice to have an option (overwrite if different size), which is useful when timezones are messed up...

thanks

Sometimes another copy gets appended, sometimes another instance opens. It's a lottery as to what happens when another item to copy is queued.

Back to v 1.22 here as well. As Hyram mentioned, I get two instances of Teracopy (v2.12) if I try to add more files to a copy that's already in progress. With v1.22, adding more files would append them to the action that was already in progress. I also do not see an option in v2.12 to adjust the buffer size like I saw in v1.22. I don't know if it made a difference or not in actual copy speeds, but I like having the option available.

i have noticed it mentioned in an older post but i couldn't find any solution:
i try to move files with teracopy to a mapped network drive and i get the message:

There is no problem when i use the windows native copy tool
